Marc Jacobs verlässt Louis Vuitton

Designer Marc Jacobs verlässt die Luxusbrand Louis Vuitton. Jacobs war 16 Jahre an der Front für das Label tätig und prägend für die traditionelle Marke. Einer der Hauptgründe für die Entscheidung ist Jacob’s eigene Marke, der er sich nun vollständig widmen möchte. Er verlässt Louis Vuitton zusammen mit seinem Business Partner Robert Duffy. An Jacobs Stelle wird vermutlich der frühere Entscheider von Balenciaga, Nicolas Ghesquiere, treten. Diese Meldung wurde allerdings bisher noch nicht bestätigt. Louis Vuittons’s CEO Michael Burke äußerte sich kooperativ hinsichtlich Jacob’s Entscheidung : „We’re doing what’s good for Marc and the future of his company. – Marc’s wish is to take it to the next level.“
